Investment analysis and strategic planning session

Build Investment
Literacy from
First Principles

This program deconstructs investment fundamentals into practical building blocks. You'll examine market mechanics, valuation logic, and risk assessment through structured analysis rather than superficial advice. Each module connects theory to observable market behavior, helping you form an independent framework for evaluating AI investment opportunities and other emerging sectors.

What You'll Study Over Four Modules

Module 1

Market Structure and Capital Flow

How capital moves between asset classes, what drives allocation shifts, and how institutional behavior differs from retail patterns.

Module 2

Valuation Models and Their Limits

Core methods for determining asset value, when each model applies, and why no single formula captures market complexity.

Module 3

Risk Measurement Beyond Volatility

Quantifying downside exposure, understanding correlation breakdown during stress, and recognizing hidden leverage in portfolios.

Module 4

Sector Analysis and Technology Trends

Evaluating emerging industries including AI infrastructure, reading financial statements for growth signals, and distinguishing hype from sustainable expansion.

How We Deliver the Program

Each week includes two live seminar sessions where Aisling Thornbury walks through analytical frameworks using current market examples. Sessions run 90 minutes with structured discussion periods for questions and peer exchange. Between sessions, you'll complete practical exercises analyzing real financial data, building skills through repetition rather than passive consumption.

The program spans eight weeks with flexibility for asynchronous review. All sessions are recorded and accessible for six months after completion. Discussion forums remain open throughout, moderated by teaching assistants who provide feedback on submitted analyses within 48 hours.
